it's time to get ready for chinese new year. perhaps because we are in a foreign country now, and that makes me more interested in preparing for chinese new year. i did try to bring along some traditional chinese new year crafts so that we wont feel so lonely here and to keep us occupied. i tried making the oranges last year when ivan was two but it's not too successful...but am much more lucky this year! he can roll and turn the netting for a while. I am not too sure what's the material called...orange nlyon netting i suppose. it's also time to find some crafts online for the new year. we will be having a celebration in my hubby's school and i do hope that we can spread festive joy to our fellow friends from other countries by demonstrating this hand-on craft, meanwhile introducing chinese traditions to them. i am hoping that my friend, cp, will be able to help us by sending nylon netting and smaller leaves to us just in time for the celebrations!
