playing in the snow - it's hard work
it was snowing on the 30th jan's morning...and we all get excited once again! daddy's not around thus we have to do the work of cleaning up! i always realise that our neighbours arent that excited about snowing....and there's a reason why! there's no need to clear the snow away until it stop snowing! what we did was desperately clearing the snow off the car and the driveway..while it's still snowing. eventually the work tires me out at least if not ivan! and the snowflakes becames lesser and lesser..and due to our constant cleaning...the snow melted and i thought to myself...phew at least it's water now..not snow..there wont be ice stuck to my windshield later. but ahah! i was shocked (after waking up from our afternoon nap) that the water on our car had became ice! difficult to clean off and .... hey can i still drive out my car! luckily the sunny sun melted away the frozen ice and our worries away. moral of the story: dont be too hardworking....wait till the snow has stop before clearing away snow...if you compact them....it's hard to clear off..and will become ice and that's really slippery and dangerous!

Gong Xi! Gong Xi! there's a lucky number...
*Gong xi gong xi to everyone celebrating chinese new year*
It's the rat coming this lunar year! Golden rat i suppose?! Managed to finish my "golden fortune mouse" craft yesterday. After days of struggling, it's finally completed! I have a "huge" sense of accomplishment ha! However...there's one more lucky mouse to be made...hmm
I managed to free up some time for the craft everyday while ivan's having his meals and fruits. We would be chatting on whatever's on his mind and my hands would be busy with sticky "UHU" glue and all the angbao packets. Yesterday, I really wanted to finish the craft and thus i negotiated with Ivan to let me have some time and thankfully he agreed. Luckily i managed to find this newspaper with pictures of american footballers in action (his favourite sport on tv now is American Football!) and handed him my craft scissor, he did his cutting really well and s.l.o.w......i guess i should had use the time to feed my mouse (to stuff more newspaper to make it fatter). It's an interesting craft! I like it except it looks a tiny wee bit skinny....hmmm and ivan insisted the yellow fellow right smack in the middle of the mouse's forehead!
Oh yah....when the craft is completed...there's this piece of paper packed together with the craft packaging...do try your luck at 4d this weekend! good luck!

pay it forward
what's this all about!? it's a pretty interesting idea over the net. am a frequent reader of this blog . this creative lady, Jo was having this pay it forward in one of her post...i am one of the lucky three! so this is how it works..
The rules are as follows:-
Anyone with a blog can join.
(i) First 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a handmade gift from me.
(ii) I will send your gift within 365 days.
(iii) In return, you have to pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
Aint too much traffic on my blog now, so hmm spread the word and love around!
and yes my friend...i can sew but my sewing machine is in singapore right now! but with the generous dateline, i'll probably brainstorm in USA and the gift will be "made in singapore". i might be lucky enough to grab some wonderful crafty things from USA to include them into my handmade gift.
